1. Can another registered participant pick up my run, walk & ride package at the Fitness Fair? 


  2. Are dogs allowed?

    We prefer no dogs, but we leave this up to the dog owner as they know their dog better than we do.

  3. Are strollers allowed?

    Absolutely! There are hundreds of them at this family event.

  4. Do you offer complimentary entry fees for elite runners?

    No. This is a family fundraising event.

  5. Do you need to register your 2 – 4 year old for the Little Legs Race?

    No. It is free for children (2 – 4 years of age) that have a parent or guardian that have registered for the run, walk & ride.

  6. Where do the proceeds go?

    We are fortunate enough to have had this event support the Calgary Health Trust (Neonatal Intensive Care Units – Foothills Medical Centre, Rockyview General Hospital, Peter Lougheed Centre & South Health Campus) for the past 10 years raising $2,000,000 for much needed equipment at each location. This year, we will continue to support the Calgary Health Trust (NICU), but we have also added Jumpstart Charities as one of our donation recipients. Jumpstart is more than just about getting kids active. It’s about giving kids from families in financial need the same chance to participate as their neighbours, their classmates and their friends. No kids should be left out!

  7. Is parking free at Max Bell Centre (Fitness Fair) & Chinook Centre?


  8. Is Calgary Transit free on Mother’s Day?

    Yes, but you must be wearing your run, walk & ride t-shirt or race bib.

  9. Where do I find my race bib number?

    Bib numbers will be available May 8. Please check the website for details.  If you cannot find your bib number, an online help link is available and bib number look-up lists will be posted at the Fitness Fair Package Pick Up.

  10. Is there event day registration?

    No. The last opportunity to register is on Saturday, May 13 (10:00am – 2:00pm) at the Fitness Fair (Max Bell Centre).

  11. Can I run with my child who is doing the 5 km ride?

    Yes. Please note that if you chose to do this you will not be timed as the ride is not a timed event.

  12. Can I walk the 10 km course?

    We prefer that the 10 km continues to be a run only event as we are required to be off of the Calgary roadway system by 10:45am.

  13. Do you have a place at Chinook Centre where participants can leave their jackets, sports bags etc.

    Yes, we have a Bag Check Tent that is staffed during the event. It is a $5 donation.

  14. Are there washrooms on the run, walk & ride course?

    Yes. There are portable washrooms at Chinook Centre (also inside Chinook Centre) & the 2 Water/Rest Stations on the course.
